Resolution for Michael Jackson...what a waste of our money & time!

I have said it before, Michael Jackson was probably one of the top entertainers ever to be! However, we, our government and elected representatives have so much more important things to do with their time and our money! Our country is in peril, our people are suffering and only some are suffering because of Michaels death, but almost all are suffering or feeling some effects of our rotting economy. It looks to me like Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee has made Michael Jackson's death her special evite into Hollywood's special guest list. (The list that some stars pick from to invite to party's when they want to look smart and sophisticated.) Or more likely.....she just thought she bought herself into re-election at the next run. I think this one may backfire. Especially if our economy keeps going in the direction it is going and the Republicans smarten up and start using some of this stupidness to their advantage and remind the American people, how much MJ spoke of wanting to be or feel like a normal person to have a normal life, to be treated like everyone else. In just about every Q & A with MJ whenever someone asked him what his wish was or if he had any regrets it was always something to do with being normal. I suggest to everyone, although Michael was indeed, in regards to the wonderful things he has given and provided to the poor and sick around the world a great humanitarian, do you not think that he would be saddened to think that somewhere there is a child or a family down the road may have a little less because our elected officials were busy creating a resolution to honor him instead of working on solving our world and/or local problems. I have also said this before that I definetly believe in innocent until proven guilty or at least NOT GUILTY until proven guilty, but what if, just what if he did hurt or molest those children.....what a horrible thing to have your abuser honored in this way, imagine the humiliation. Imagine never bringing your abuser to justice let alone having the world honor him publicly continuously probably for the rest of your life! I just feel that the dust litterally has not even settled in everything to do with Michael and we are already jumping through hoops to give him every award and honor that we can give and even make up. Why wouldn't a privately funded statue (which I am quite sure there will be one or a few of those as well) be enough? Mark my words he will be on the cover of Time as the 2009 person of the year (that or Obama, but I think he is slowly sinking, unless Time Magazine feels like they want to help Obama out with his satisfaction numbers) Michael Jackson may even be nominated for some reason for the nobel peace prize.....look at 2007's winner, the inventor and creator of public enemy number 1 global warming....AL Gore.

Here below is Sheila Jackson-Lee's speech at the memorial service for Michael.....remember she is speaking for ALL of us, as she says in her speech. So you may want to listen so you know what you are thinking! (that is the direction we are heading so get use to it)

***Reminder, I do not necessarily disagree with her, I just disagree with her proposal and her choice of delivery and grandstanding, leave that to the STARS. I sure hope TEXAS did not pay for her ego trip TRIP!
